A first look: Meeting before you start
The checking is done: past employers confirmed their work before you saw their profile. This first meeting is about getting to know each other, not a test.
- Send a hello on WhatsApp after booking, and agree a short meeting before the first day.
- Meet at your home if you can, so they see the space and you see how they move through it.
- Plan for 30 to 45 minutes. That's usually enough.
- Decide whether your child will join for part of it.
- Have water or tea ready for when they arrive.
Good to know
- A partner or someone you trust can join. A second view often picks up things you'd miss.
- If something worries you after meeting, you can cancel up to a day before and your fee comes back as credit.
