A first look: Before you meet
- Send the family a hello on WhatsApp after they book, and agree when and where to meet before the first day.
- Make sure you have reliable transport, for the meeting and for the job itself.
- Make sure you have data and can be reached.
- Confirm the time and place the day before. A quick message shows you're organised.
- Wear something neat and comfortable. Ready to sit on the floor and play, not dressed up.
- Read the booking details properly: the dates, the children's ages and any notes.
- Learn the parents' and children's names before you go.
- Have two or three activity ideas ready for the children's ages.
- Prepare a few questions of your own.
